The Wonderful Town of Llanfairfechan

This quaint and scenic seaside town is located on the north Wales coastline on the borders of the Snowdonia National Park.
The town has over 3500 residents and is a wonderful base for anyone deciding to take a holiday in North Wales due to its locality to most of the regions other towns and attractions.
The town itself has just been given a new status by the Snowdonia Nation Park Authority.
Llanfairfechan has been fortunate enough to have been awarded Gateway status by the parks authority.
Through much effort by a local councillor the town will now be featured in literature and brochures regarding the Snowdonia national park giving a great boost to the local tourist industry.
One of the main factors in the parks authorities' award is due to llanfairfechan being the gateway through to the Carneddau ridge.
A wonderful area that contains many mountains such as Foel Fras, Arnedd Llewellyn, Carnedd Dafydd, Yr Elen and Foel Grach.
Llanfairfechan is an idyllic location for a seaside holiday and has a traditional promenade that has many charming features such as public gardens, children's playgrounds and even a model boating lake.
Its beach has a Blue flag award and attracts many visitors both from Wales and beyond.
From the beach you can get extensive and gorgeous views of Anglesey and the Menai Strait.
Many walkers and ramblers choose to visit the town each year as the North Wales coastal path runs through it, this along with the Traeth Lafan nature reserve make llanfairfechan a wonderful place to discover if you are interested also in wildlife and nature.
As you would expect from a town of this size there are numerous different types of establishments to eat and drink in.
Everything from Indian to traditional and Chinese cuisine is catered for throughout the town.
Many public houses are located within the town and offer great value for money especially if you are looking for a more traditional and inexpensive dining experience.
Llanfairfechan has very good transport links and accessibility, located between junction 14 and 15 of the A66 it is very easily gotten to.
Its railway station links to Chester, Birmingham, Manchester Holyhead and Crewe.
