A career in this field requires a combination of education in computers and business. • Another lucrative career opportunity for the MBA graduate is in the field of business management consulting. Management consultants are industry professionals who advise other businesses and organizations about how to run themselves more efficiently and profitably. According to the BLS, this is one of the fastest growing career fields available. The bureau expects the number of jobs in this field to grow by 83 percent from 2008 to 2018. Pay for management analysts was listed by the BLS at an hourly rate. As of May, 2008, management analysts made a median hourly rate of pay of $39.26. Managers of consulting firms made $62.69 as a median wage.
