How to Stop Spam From Hotmail
- 1). Navigate your browser to the Hotmail Web page, and sign in using your email address and password.
- 2). Click "Options" on the top right side of the screen and select "More Options...".
- 3). Click "Hotmail" under "Show options for" on the left side of the screen.
- 4). Click "Filters and reporting" under "Preventing junk email."
- 5). Select one of the two filter levels under "Choose a junk email filter." Clicking the circle beside "Standard" tells Hotmail to automatically send emails that it thinks are junk to the junk email folder. Clicking the circle beside "Exclusive" forces all emails not from your contacts or your safe list to be sent to you junk email folder.
- 6). Save your selection by clicking "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
