How to Make Pure Lavender Water
- 1). Clip the lavender blossoms from the lavender plant while they are at their peak of beauty for best results. Use the pruning shears to clip two blossoms immediately beneath where they attach to the stems.
- 2). Crush the blossoms gently with your fingers and place them into the bowl.
- 3). Boil 1 cup of distilled water in the teakettle and pour the water over the blossoms in the bowl. Allow the blossoms to steep in the hot water for five minutes.
- 4). Pour off the water from the blossoms into the glass decanter. Add at least 20 drops of lavender oil to the distilled lavender water. Close the bottle and shake the water well to mix it.
- 5). Store the lavender water in the refrigerator indefinitely.
