How to Draw a Light Saber With Paint
- 1). Create the light saber handle using the pencil and paint fill tools. After selecting the pencil tool, draw your preferred light saber handle shape. Although most light saber handles are straight and cylindrical, light sabers with curved handles appear in the prequel series of movies. Light sabers, such as those used by Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, only emit one sword beam, whereas the Darth Maul's weapon includes two beams. After creating the outline of the handle, use the paint fill tool to create a unified color for your handle. Light saber handles are typically gray or black.
- 2). Add nuanced details to the light saber handle by selecting the paint brush tool and reducing the brush size to a point where your new brush strokes can easily fit inside the handle you drew in the previous step. Consider painting an activation switch or button on the handle in addition to grip marks.
- 3). Draw the beam of your light saber using the pencil tool. Ensure that your beam is narrower in width then the handle of the light saber. After completing the outline, use the paint fill tool to add color to your beam. Light saber beams exist in a variety of colors, such as blue, green and red. Ensure that your pencil outline is complete: any holes in the drawing will cause your paint fill to color the entire background of the screen.
