Add to all this another centuries-old genie, a gorgeous female named Farishta.
Biff and Farishta are off-and-on lovers, but she doesn't want to settle down like Biff does.
And unlike Biff, Farishta likes mischief and trouble.
Although more powerful than Biff, she finds herself helplessly aging for the first time in literally ages, and losing her unique power which she gets from water.
Her being a water genie is sometimes a problem for Biff because he cannot tolerate water and it has a painful and power-draining effect on him.
To Biff's surprise, Farishta's troubles end up being intertwined with the case he's working on with his client, Sveta.
As the story continues, we're introduced to more characters--an adorable squirrel named Raki and a Sylph butterfly genie who both end up helping Biff solve his case.
But there's also trouble, a very powerful ancient demon who is controlling some of the humans involved and threatening both Biff and Farishta.
As we come in contact here and there with these old and evil powers, a distinct creepy element emerges.
