Instructions for How to Clean an Elephant Ear Washer
- 1). Unscrew and remove the disposable nozzle tip from the trigger top on the spray bottle. The disposable nozzle tip includes the rubber tubing that is attached to the tip that is placed in your ear. Pinch the tubing at the collar where it connects to the trigger top and turn it counter-clockwise to remove it. Discard the entire disposable nozzle tip.
- 2). Separate the trigger top from the spray bottle. Hold the spray bottle with one hand and with the other, twist the entire trigger top counter-clockwise until it comes free and you can separate the two pieces.
- 3). Fill the spray bottle half way with hot water and a few drops of antimicrobial liquid dish soap. Screw the trigger top on and shake the bottle for one minute.
- 4). Pump the trigger several times to draw the soapy water through the trigger assembly.
- 5). Separate the trigger top from the spray bottle again. Rinse the spray bottle out with hot water (until no suds appear in the water). Wash and rinse the trigger top with hot water only.
- 6). Fill the spray bottle half way with hot water only (no soap). Screw the trigger top back on and pump the trigger to draw the clean water through. Continue spraying until all the water is gone. This will rinse the soap out of the inside of the trigger.
- 7). Separate the two parts again and leave overnight to dry. When they are dry, screw on a new disposable tip to the trigger handle and your Elephant Ear Washer is ready for use again.
