How to Fix an Eyebolt
- 1). Set the eyebolt on a workbench. Grasp the looped end with pliers and squeeze the round eye together to close the gap where the end of the loop has opened.
- 2). Grasp the eyebolt in your hand, holding it by the threaded end. Hold the loop up against the workbench. Tap the loop to bend it back in shape.
- 3). Hold the eyebolt by the threaded screw end. Open your vise and set the looped end of the eyebolt into the vise. Close the vise onto the loop of the eyebolt until the loop closes completely.
- 4). Remove the eyebolt from the vise and lay it flat on the workbench. Hammer it several times to flatten it.
