Dj X featuring Jon Secada - What You Won"t Do For Love
About.com Rating
I first heard this song on XM radio about two months ago on a remix show. I knew it was a remake, but I couldn't figure out who the vocalist was. When I heard it again, and thanks to the display showing the artist name and title, I saw DJ X feat: Jon Secada?. It totally didn't sound anything like the Jon Secada I remember. I have all his CDs, and I still didn't recognize his vocals.
There are four mixes on this promotional CD, two are from DJ X and two are from CS-Jay.
I prefer the DJ X ones; the mixes are very simple with just an easy beat that carries the song from beginning to end. Jon's melodic vocals are what gives this simple track its calming vibe.
The CS-Jay mixes have more of an edge to them with a trance sound reminiscent of an ATB song. These mixes have more energy to them and carry the song in a different way. Both remixers did a great job on this single, and I'll be sure to keep an eye out for more from them.
