How to Make a Beard Out of Felt
- 1). Cut a beard shape out of felt; if you're trying to be realistic, you'll probably want to use black, white, gray or yellowish felt.
- 2). Hold the beard shape up to your face to make sure that the beard is the shape that you want it to be. Trim as necessary.
- 3). Cut a small hole in the top of the felt beard on each side near your ears.
- 4). Cut a string of elastic; the string will be the thing to hold your new "beard" on your face, so make sure the string can go around your head. You can trim it down if needed later.
- 5). Tie each end in through a hole on the beard's edges.
- 6). Try on your finished beard; adjust the elastic string's length as necessary.
- 7). Glue shreds or pieces of the same colored felt to the beard. This will give your beard extra texture.
- 8). Allow the glue to dry completely before wearing your beard.
