Gorgeous George is the man that brought entertainment to the world of sports entertainment. He was a true pop culture icon in the '40s and '50s and has been credited as an inspiration for the careers of Muhammad Ali, James Brown and Bob Dylan. "The Human Orchid" was possibly the first wrestler to use music as part of his entrance which was unmatched by any of his peers. Led to the ring by his servant Jeeves, he would hand out his Georgie Pins to his lady fans in the audience and have the ring sprayed with Channel #10 before he would start wrestling.

I highly recommend a biography that was recently released about him and there is talk of a movie about his life about to be filmed.
