How to Do a Title Search in Tarrant County, Texas
- 1). Visit the Tarrant County Clerk's website and choose the "Online Searches" option to the left hand side of the main page. This link takes you to the real estate search page.
- 2). Enter the requested information in the correct boxes. You'll need the name of the grantor -- the seller of the property -- grantee -- the buyer of the property -- filing dates and the name of the specific title document you are searching for. You can obtain the name of the grantor and grantee from the paperwork drawn up for the sale, from the realty agent handling the sale or from the title company that is handling the sale of the property.

- 4). Go in person to the Tarrant County Clerk's office location to have a title search performed. Give the clerk all of the information listed in step two and wait while your title search is performed.
