Video: Chocolate & Cream Cheese Fondue
Video Transcript
Hi, I'm Mandy Maxwell, a professional pastry chef, and I'm going to show you how to make cream cheese chocolate fondue. To start I'm going to be using a double boiler. What that means is I have one pot that has hot water in the bottom and another pot right on top. Now if you don't have this fancy set up, you're totally fine, just put a bowl on top and we'll do the exact same thing. So to start I'm just going to put one cup of heavy cream and then I've softened some cream cheese just so it's faster and easier, one brick eight ounce of cream cheese right in there. We're just going to whisk it until it's nice and smooth. Once that cream cheese is nice and melted, we're just going to add one 12 ounce package of semi sweet chocolate. Now if you are not the biggest dark chocolate fan, that's fine, do the exact same thing but with milk chocolate or even white chocolate. Make sure we get this all melted together so it's a beautiful chocolate dip. Alright, now it's nice and melted all together. What I like to do is just pour it into a nice pot, delicious. It's a really quick great dessert. I like to serve it with a plate of assorted things to dip it in. I really like fruit and cookies so it really just brightens up that deep chocolate rich flavor and then what's really great, is if you actually have any of this left over, put it in Tupperware, save it in your fridge and the next day you can actually ball some out, roll it in your favorite cookie crumb and you have a chocolate truffle. I'm Mandy Maxwell and this is how you make cream cheese chocolate fondue.
