A Mother"s Perspective - Shouldn"t Every Store Have a Drive-Thru?

I've been thinking a lot recently about how motherhood has changed my views on the world.
It's not the big worldly views that I'm talking about, but the little every day things.
I've realized that everything I see in the world is from a mother's perspective.
I remember when the first drive-through drugstore was built in my community.
My first thought was, why in the world would anyone need a drive-through pharmacy? I thought that it was just promoting laziness and adding to the sedentary nature of Americans.
In my mind this drive-through was only necessary for an elderly person whose mobility may be limited.
This was prior to the birth of my children so I was looking at the situation as a single person with no children.
Years later and two children later, my view on drive-thrus has completely changed.
They can feel like a life-saving solution to many mothers.
Whether it was to help me avoid getting the kids out of the car during inclement weather or to simply save me the aggravation of dragging the kids into a store, drive-thrus have been a blessing to me on numerous occasions.
Have a sick child and need to get a prescription filled? The pharmacy drive-through can help you keep your sick child out of the store and avoid being exposed to more germs.
And if you are fortunate enough to have a sleeping child in the car, the drive-through will prevent you from having to wake her up.
Drive-thrus have also become my friend when I'm out driving and trying to lull a child to sleep.
Out driving with no real direction or purpose, the drive-through can make me feel like my outing is more than just driving around aimlessly.
I can go through the Starbuck's or Dunkin Donuts drive-through to get a drink and my road trip now has a purpose.
The drive-through has become a symbol of a mother's perspective on the world.
I view so many things in life as how can this make life easier for me as a mother? How can this benefit my children? Or, how can this help me make the world a better place for my children? So a drive-through clearly falls under the category of things that make life easier for me as a mother, but it represents how my life has changed; and, how my views on the world have changed as well.
I now wonder, why can't every store and restaurant have a drive-through? Shouldn't it be part of the business plan for every new store? As a mother, I answer with a resounding, "Yes".
