Garuda Indonesia Flight Crashes

The archipelago country of Indonesia has had another deadly airplane crash in 2007. This time, the airline involved is Garuda Indonesia. Garuda has released the information they currently have regarding the status of the flight, where it occurred, and survivors. Indonesia is a very popular vacation destination, particularly with Australians, and it seems that as well as Indonesian nationals there were several foreigners (primarily Australians) on board.

What happened?

Flight 200 left Jakarta at 6 am enroute to Yogyakarta.
The flight was piloted by Capt. Komar who has worked with Garuda Indonesia since 1985. 133 passengers and seven crew were on board.
The flight caught fire when it reached the end the runway upon arrival in Yogyakarta.
By the afternoon of March 7, Garuda was reporting that 93 passengers had been evacuated from the plane and were taken to two hospitals – Panti Ratih and Panti Rini (Tel: +62 274 497 206).
22 people on board are reported dead - 21 passengers and 1 crew member.
