Normal Changes For Aging Skin

Maybe you have been noticing the signs of your skin aging. Maybe you have been wondering what you can do about your increased rough skin or your irregular skin color or how about your skin elasticity? Unfortunately these are all normal changes for your aging skin. It happens to be a fact of life.

This is the time of your life when you must pay attention to applying sunscreens, even if you have neglected this healthy application in the past. Maybe you are one of those people that have enlarged oil glands. I think we all know someone who has precancerous or cancerous lesion due their damaged and aged skin. I can not stress enough how important sunscreen is for you, especially if you are moving into your later years. And I might add that everyone needs this sunscreen application no matter what their age.

But as I stated before, unfortunately, you require more skin care as you grow older. Because as you age your skin can not produce some new cells at the pace it did when you were younger. Where you live also has an impact on the level of damage your skin has sustained. I think you have noticed that your pores have become larger as you age. And how about those sunspots the sun has left on your body, not to mention those freckles and wrinkles. This is part of the aging process, take care of it, you can not fight it.

Due to your aging you might try some retinol or vitamin C for example. I would check with my dermatologist on this if I were you. And you know that smoking is not only a killer but it wrecks your skin, stop smoking! And as always you must eat well to be well. These facts increase as you age. You must never forget to hydrate your skin both on the inside and on the outside.

My last piece of advice is; you should stop lying out in the sun, even if you are not threatened with any precancerous conditions, it will only make your skin look like leather. Please be careful, too much sun could kill you. Everything in moderation is the order of the day.
