Reasons For Using a Hot Air Popper For Homemade Popcorn

Don't put the measuring cup on the top yet though! Like this the kernels won't blow into the bowl, instead they will circulate and stay inside.

After the first pop (this usually takes about one minute), place the measuring cup on top quickly.
The rest of the kernels will pop fast after this.

In case you see build-up of popcorn (don't get blown into the bowl) they will burn.
This can be avoided by holding the cool top and shake the machine so that the kernels fall into the bowl again.
Continue until the kernels are blown in on their own.
