There's an unfortunate trend going around the web wherein people take a selfie of themselves pretending to sleep, then claim that their (most likely fictitious) significant other "caught" them sleeping. It all started with one woman who Snap-Chatted a photo of herself "asleep" along with the caption, "Bae caught me slippin'. Love him. Goodnight from us."  Unfortunately for her, a mirror in the background showed that there was no boyfriend/bae to be found.

She was simply Forever Alone and hilariously clueless about how cameras and mirrors work. OOPS.

Now, these pictures have become so prevalent that the "Bae Caught Me Sleeping" pics inspired a meme. Web users now intentionally make obviously-posed "caught sleeping" images to share with their friends online.
