How to Use Camping Petrol Stoves
- 1). Unfold the legs of the stove and place it on a flat surface outside. Do not use petrol stoves in an enclosed space.
- 2). Consult the instructions of the stove you've purchased. Familiarize yourself with all of the equipment and warnings. This will help you know what to do in case there is a problem that comes up.
- 3). Open the filler cap and pour fuel into the attached container. If you are using a model that has its own brand containers, this may be as easy as removing the old container and screwing in the new one.
- 4). Check that the fuel lever is in the off position. Begin to pump fuel into the stove with the button on the side of the stove. It is recommended you pump at least a dozen times to make sure you have enough fuel in the stove to light the burners.
- 5). Light a match and place it next to the burner. As soon as the burner takes fire, turn the nozzle to High/Light.
- 6). Place the food you'd like to cook on the grill and follow preparation instructions to thoroughly cook your food.
- 7). Turn off the burner, and check that there is no fuel still running through the stove. Let the stove cool down, and you can put it away.
