If you are like many people and do not opt for a backup system of some kind when you bought your computer then you maybe sitting on a time bomb.
Your disk drive will not last forever.
And when it does crash what are you going to do? Here are a couple of methods for protecting your data.

If you have a writeable CD/DVD in your system then this is a natural selection.
There is software available that will do an excellent job and there are free versions on the Internet that will do a great job as well.
But rest assured there is some added protection with this device.
2.
Do you have a spare computer in the closet? If it has a network card in it then add it to your network and setup a public share on the hard drive and map your computer to it.
You can also map it to more than one computer so consider other family members computers too.
They need protection too.
Plus it is a way to use an old resource 3.
If you have a stash of hard drives like myself then I know you will like this.
I saw a device on the CyberGuys web site that connected to the hard drive and then you connected a USB cable to it.
Yes, it works great and it brought new life to an old hard drive.
So there are things you can do from a low-tech standpoint to build in a system of backups for your computers.
Just think outside the box.
