As you may have read or heard, Bamboo is the hottest fiber in towels today.
Why is that, you ask? What makes it the ultimate towel? There are many reasons.
1.
Bamboo is a grass that grows very quickly, therefore a sustainable resource.
With all the talk of "green" and renewable resources, Bamboo is definitely one of the most versatile plants out there, whether being used in towels, mats, walls, flooring, or furniture.
More uses are found every day for Bamboo.
2.
Bamboo is more absorbent than cotton.
1 is times more absorbent.
It has the ability to dry you off more quickly when you step out of the shower, but this also carries over to time spent in the dryer.
It takes less time for Bamboo towels to dry than Cotton towels.
3.
Bamboo is naturally anti-microbial, which remains intact even after the process of turning the grass into Rayon fibers to weave into fabric.
Therefore the towels do not get that musty, mildew smell even when hanging up in a closed moist bathroom.
4.
Bamboo is a very strong fiber.
Stronger than Cotton.
Definitely durable and will last longer than Cotton towels with proper care.
What is the proper care for your Bamboo towels? 1.
Wash in warm or cold water using a mild detergent.
2.
DO NOT use Bleach, as this eats away at natural fibers.
3.
DO NOT use Fabric Softeners, as this can coat the loops of the towels causing less absorption.
4.
Dry in Dryer on Warm or Perma Press setting.
Takes less time than Cotton.
Can also hang outside on clothesline.
Does not stiffen like Cotton towels.
5.
Want fresh, non-detergent smelling towels, add a cup of white vinegar in the rinse cycle, or use a scented dryer sheet.
6.
Bamboo fibers tend to snag.
It is okay to snip off these snags, as it will not hurt the integrity of the towel.
With proper care of your Bamboo towels, you will be pampered with these towels for many years to come.
