Things to do in KL, Malaysia
Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia and it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The Petronas towers are the world famous twin towers that mark the centre of the city with 88 storeys of chrome, steel and concrete. If you take the elevator up to the 41st floor you can walk across the sky bridge and take in the breath taking views of Malaysia's capitol. When you are done admiring the architectural marvel you can attend a classical concert at the DewanFilharmonicPetronas concert hall situated right in the middle of the two towers.
The Batu caves are another great spot that you cannot afford to miss. The caves are a religious landmark for the Hindu people of Malaysia. The Cathedral caves house several Hindu shrines beneath the arched ceilings that lie nearly a hundred metres up. You will have to scale quite a step-way to get up to the caves, so make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes. You get to admire the Limestone caves, Golden statues and perhaps even the Hindu religious rites that are performed there by the Hindu Followers.
TheanHou Temple is also a popular tourist attraction and is also another site not to be missed. The six-tiered temple is situated at Robson Heights and it is the one of the oldest temples in South Eastern Asia. It features intricate carvings, wall murals and a truly grand prayer hall that is a site too difficult to put into words.
That makes three sites in total, but there are a number other temples in and around the capital city, you can visit Chinatown if you want to experience the local Chinese market. There are two other markets around the city that offer traditional Malaysian cuisine, and you can buy all sorts of souvenirs to take back home with you.
