Toning Sandals For Pure Summer Comfort

Toning sandals have been the summer footwear sensation for three years now since the arrival of the innovative FitFlop back in 2007.
Most toning shoes are also sold in a toning sandal model, although when it comes to range, styles and cool designs few can compete with the toning sandals from FitFlop, who have long had a monopoly on toning sandals for the summer.
The secret to the success of toning sandals lies not with the toning properties and health benefits, but more with the comfort and style which they offer.
Whilst most are attracted to the benefits provided, it is the comfort and style which has seen them become such a popular footwear choice for women, and now, increasingly for men too.
The summer was traditionally a bad time for the feet.
Whilst lightweight summer shoes free the joints from the pressure and abrasions caused by many modern fashionable shoes, flip-flops are the cause of many accidents and foot injuries due to the poor design, lack of cushioning and poor support.
FitFlop sandals on the other hand offer support, cushioning, and protection in abundance, treating the feet to a whole summer of comfort and giving style a serious boost as well.
The innovative FitFlop Kinetic Wedge comprises an incredibly soft and shock absorbing midsole, which eases the pressure on the joints offering pain relief and pure comfort underfoot.
Whilst this is a by product of the toning properties, it is the comfort factor which sees them adopted as the footwear of choice for the summer.
Of course the posture correction and toning boost to the buttocks, calves and thighs certainly helps, but without the comfort factor, few pairs would be sold.
It didn't take long for other sneaker and exercise brands to jump onto the bandwagon, after seeing the huge sales volumes achieved by FitFlop.
The Reebok Easytone has been adapted into the Easytone Flip for the summer, the New Balance Rock & Tone is available in sandal form, but it is Skechers which now provide the main competition, producing a range of sandals which rivals that of the Fitflop.
Looking at Skechers Tone Ups sandals you will no doubt notice the similarity to FitFlop styles, with the all-American trainer giant releasing a range mimicking those of the British manufacturer.
Tone Ups look virtually identical to the Fitflop in many respects, with the same method of action, the same styles, and very similar lines providing direct competition for the British brand which started the summer toning trend.
Whilst Skechers Tone Ups appear to have copied Fitflop in every respect, one area where they have not followed suite is the price, being substantially cheaper.
Aiming to win over America by providing all that Britain has to offer, with a home grown brand has been the key to their success, and whilst FitFlop still have their legions of devotees, Skechers are now making serious inroads into breaking the FitFlop dominance in the summer.
If you have yet to see the toning sandals on offer from either of these manufacturers, you need look no further than these two toning sandals giants.
Which you choose will be down to personal taste and budget, however with either of these brands on your feet, you will be assured of a summer of comfort, toned legs and buttocks and a much improved posture.
More comfortable than most sandals on the market, you may as well get a toning boost and posture correction and more bang for your buck than the likes of Birkenstocks.
