The Week In Dumb Crime: Dallas Airport Fight, Costume Brawl And More
Dallas Airport Fight: Homophobe Gets What's Coming
I bet that didn't go as this guy expected.
A ranting, angry man shouting homophobic remarks was caught on camera attacking a man in a pink shirt who he thought was gay at Dallas Ft. Worth Airport.
Now it's time to take whatever perceptions you may have about Texans and toss them out the window -- because when this guy began to attack the man in the pink shirt, bystanders quickly intervened, led by a man in cowboy hat who looks about as Texas as you could possibly be (even if he may not actually be from Texas; he has not been identified in any of the reports).
Once he was down, he's heard on camera telling police he attacked the man because this is America.
"This is America, that’s why,” he said to the two black officers handcuffing him and holding him down. “It’s the same reason you get to live, to breathe, to walk black. You know what I’m talking about.”

McCleish Christmas Benham Arrested In Dallas Airport Fight
So who's the man caught on camera at Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport attacking a fellow passenger he things is gay? The man in the viral video was identified as McCleish Christmas Benham of Shelbyville, Tenn, according to the Ft. Worth Star Telegram.
Looks like he was born with Christmas in his name... but he certainly doesn't have any Christmas spirit in him, even if it's only October.
The Advocate says he had already allegedly socked another passenger in the eye before the camera started rolling, reportedly calling the victim a "San Frisco Faggot."
Benham, who already has a police record with an arrest for theft of property, was charged with simple assault and public intoxication.
For the record, most San Franciscans would tell you that saying "Frisco" should also be a crime.
Costumed Characters Fight On Hollywood Blvd.
It seems like there are only two places on the planet where this kind of thing happens regularly: Hollywood Blvd. in Los Angeles, and Times Square in New York.
It's a costumed character fight. Sometimes they fight with tourists. Sometimes with police. And often with each other -- as is the case in this video that went viral, which shows someone dressed as Mr. Incredible going after Batgirl.
What makes this one so surreal is that Freddy Krueger tries to intervene.
Yes, one of the greatest horror villains of all time... or at least someone dressed as him... is playing peacemaker. Chewbacca and Waldo of "Where's Waldo" also try to help out, but eventually bystanders stop the fight.
The FilmOn.com production company caught some of the incident on video as they were recording nearby.
Characters told media that the fight was a turf war gone ugly.
“The good ones, we’re stationary, we’ll stand against the curb, people come to us,” a Batman told CBS Los Angeles. “But the bad ones they roam up and down, so they cross paths or they target the same people, and then they get into each other. It’s less now because we have a lot more police presence here since last year, and it has made a difference. It’s not cleaned up yet, but it is getting better.”

Creepy Clowns Are Being Extra Creepy
There has been an outbreak of creepy clowns, especially in California in what appears to be an art project that took on a life of its own.
The "Wasco Clown" social media accounts depicted a clown acting creepy in various places around the town of Wasco and in nearby communities.
But copycat creepy clowns started popping up, and at least one was arrested after taking the whole creepy business just a little too seriously.
Now, creepy clowns are popping up all over the place, even in France. When will it end?

The night the Giants won the World Series was either a great night to be out in San Francisco... or a terrible one, depending on your perspective.
While many fans went wild with celebration, a few went wild in all the wrong ways, breaking windows, starting fires and shutting down much of the city's public transportation. At least two people were shot and injured, and police made multiple arrests.
