Sometimes, as a result of injury, handicap or just age getting in and out of the bath can become a very difficult and potentially hazardous experience.
  The edge of the bath his high and the surface upon which you are standing is potentially very slippy, especially if you are standing in the bath and trying to get out.
Well, the solution may be very simple.
  Take a shower instead.
  But take a shower with a difference.
  I fully understand that taking a shower may well have similar difficulties as a bath, not to mention limitations on space.
  The reason I suggest a shower is because you can take a shower in relative comfort, and perhaps more importantly privacy by using a chair in the shower, a shower chair.
A shower chair of course is not just any old bathroom chair used for stylish effect or to store your clothes whilst you wash.
  In this case I am referring to a specialist piece of equipment specifically designed to sit in the shower enclosure securely.
  With suction pads on the feet of the chair, or at the very least rubber stoppers to ensure the chair doesn't slip unexpectedly.
You can then sit in the shower enjoying the experience without strain or undue effort, you can  wash in privacy and generally take your time.
  All because of a chair in the shower.
Shower chairs come in all shapes and sizes, they can be as inexpensive or as expensive as you wish and for almost any size or shape of shower enclosure there will be shower chair for you.
  If you do find bathing stressful then I recommend you consider the shower chair alternative.
