There are two trains of thought when dealing with panic attacks cures.
For years doctors believed that the only way to deal with anxiety/panic attacks was medication.
However as research has moved on, specialists found that certain vitamins and herbs, along with a good diet and exercise, had a big effect on the way that we treat panic attacks.
The reason for this is that medication such as Xanax, Zoloft and Alenol, however good they may be, all tend to do the same task.
That task is to mask the effects of the panic attack itself.
They do this by acting as a relaxant, a sort of legal high, if you like.
The medication kind of tricks the body into thinking that everything is alright, so the body does not switch to fight or flight mode, so all the associated side-effects that come with it such as palpitations, tightening of the chest, sweaty palms, rapid breathing, simply do not happen.
Now you may say that this is great...
"No attacks No Problem!" However; there is a problem.
You see, all medication does is eliminate that particular attack before it happens.
Therefore you will always have the constant threat of the next attack hanging over you.
The other thing is that studies have shown that medication such as Xanax and Zoloft can be extremely addictive, so it is very hard to break the cycle once you are prescribed these drugs.
Now I am not saying that you should come off medication altogether as this could cause you more harm than good but other panic attacks cures such as natural treatments can be more beneficial than you think! In order to know why natural treatments might work, you have to know what causes anxiety and panic attacks.
The short answer is panic attacks are brought on by high anxiety levels in the brain caused by anxious thoughts.
There is a strong connection between anxiety and stress.
So if you can reduce your stress levels then it is a real possibility that you can stop anxiety from building up.
You see, this is the root cause of the problem, and the attack itself is the end result.
Therefore it stands to reason that if you can eliminate the root cause, then you will eliminate the problem.
If you eat a healthy balanced diet, decrease your caffeine and alcohol intake, stop smoking and exercise regularly, you are less lightly to suffer from anxiety attacks than someone who lives on a diet of caffeine and take-aways.
Yoga is a great vehicle for preventing stress as it can teach you a number of things such as, how to be in tune with your body, how to control your breathing and most importantly, relaxing techniques.
Now that you have your body in tune you need to get your mind to the same level.

What this does is to train you using tried and tested techniques to recognise anxious thoughts and deal with them effectively before they have time to manifest into an anxiety attack.
CBT is another great vehicle for natural panic attacks cures and used in conjunction with a good diet and exercise, can banish your panic attacks for good.
