How to Make a Play House Into a Dog House
- 1). Position the play house in a location that's suitable for the season--a shaded area for summer, or sunny for winter.
- 2). Open the play house's windows and doors for ventilation, unless the dog requires a warmer or cooler space.
- 3). Duct tape an outdoor thermometer to the inside of the play house.
- 4). Add bedding to the play house's floor (or ground area) for added comfort, and to help the dog establish its territory.
- 5). Monitor the temperature and adjust the play house's location for the season. Temperatures in excess of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, or less than 35 degrees Fahrenheit, may require a location change, depending on the dog's breed.
