In Paris and New York City during the years between World War II and the Cold War artists struggled to represent a world of liberation, reconstruction, bomb scares, new bebop jazz and an explosion of abundance in their evolving countries. Well-known Picasso and Pollock are on display, as well as newly discovered masters of abstraction.

Barcelona becomes the first Spanish city to host the popular "Bodies" Exhibition. A fascinating tour of the human body, "Bodies" displays preserved human bodies to show the complexities of the human anatomy.

Strike, police, school, coexistence, the psychiatric hospital, music, representation, the democratic legacy, and questions on the transition. These dominant themes of the transition to democracy at Franco's demise are explored in this photographic exhibition focussing on the society's change over the last 30 years in Spain.

JOAN JONAS - TIMELINES: Transparencias in a Dark Room

Using themes of nature, sexuality, poetry and sacred rituals Jonas fuses theatrical performance with video-art techniques. Jonas is one of the leading artists in this ever-evolving and expanding genre.

Alice Creisher presents installations, drawings, collages, articles, and texts to illustrate the relation between politics and business. Creisher, an American-born artist, resides and works in Berlin until May 18 and Basque artist Azier Mendizabal showcases sculptures and installations in his newest exhibition. Through his work in this exhibition, Mendizabel seeks to understand how we construct our identities as part of a group (both until May 18)
