  Samsung dishwashers are popular for their value and ease of use. Part of what makes them so user friendly is the helpful error codes that display on the screen to alert you to problems. Each error code corresponds to a specific part and will display as soon as an issue with that part registers with the memory. To keep your warranty intact, most error codes require you to contact a Samsung repair service. But several of the codes have easy fixes that you may be able to perform yourself.
  
  

EE1/HE/HE1

• The EE and HE codes refer to temperature errors. The EE1 designation refers to a thermistor issue, and the HE codes refer to heater problems. These are all functional errors that require a certified service technician, but disconnecting the circuit breaker in the meantime can prevent the problem from growing worse.
  
  

4E/4E1

• The 4E codes indicate a problem with the water supply. If you see the 4E code, make sure the water supply line is correctly attached and open and not frozen or clogged. If you get a 4E1 code, check the temperature of the incoming water supply and ensure that it is below 176 degrees. If either of these issues persist despite your best efforts, contact a repair center.
  
  

5E

• The 5E code means there is a problem with the drain. Make sure the drain hose and openings are not clogged or obstructed. If they are not, and the code remains, disconnect the circuit breaker to reduce the risk of electric shock and contact a service center.
  
  

oE/9E

• The oE and 9E codes refer to issues with the water level. The oE code means that the dishwasher is filling too much, and the 9E code means it is not filling enough. Disconnect the circuit breaker for safety and contact a repair center.
  
  

LE

• The LE code indicates a leak. To keep from voiding your warranty, do not attempt to diagnose and repair the leak yourself. Close the water supply valve and disconnect the circuit breaker to avoid electric shock and contact a repair technician.
  
  

6E2/PE

• The 6E2 and PE codes both indicate functional errors that must be repaired by a professional. The 6E2 code indicates a pressed key error, and the PE code refers to a problem with the half-load function. Disconnect the circuit breaker in either case and contact a repair service.
