How to Make a Baby Mirror Toy
- 1). Place the mirror on the scrap piece of wood to avoid cracking the mirror. Drill holes around the edge of the mirror, keeping them at least ¼ inch apart and ¼ inch from the side of the mirror.
- 2). Place a piece of adhesive felt on the table in front of you, paper side up. Position the mirror on the felt and trace it with the pencil. Draw another line about ½ inch from the first one all the way around the mirror.
- 3). Remove the mirror and cut along the second line you made in Step 2.
- 4). Cut decorative shapes out of the nonadhesive felt to be sewn around your mirror later.
- 5). Remove the paper backing from the piece of adhesive felt you cut in Step 5. Position the mirror in the center of the felt (reflective side up), and press down firmly. Fold the edges of the felt over the edges of the mirror.
- 6). Use the needle and thread to sew through the holes you drilled, attaching the shapes you cut out of the regular felt as you go. Tie off the end of the thread securely.
